Lost City Trek – 4 Days to the Heart of the Sierra Nevada

The Lost City Trek is one of the most iconic adventures in Colombia.

Over four days, you will hike deep into the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, crossing rivers, tropical forest, Indigenous territories and ancient Tayrona paths before reaching the archaeological site of Teyuna, also known as the Lost City.

Day 1 - Santa Marta to the Mountains

Early morning departure from Santa Marta.Transfer by 4x4 vehicle to El Mamey, where the trek begins.The first hiking day includes mountain views, jungle trails and rivers before arriving at the first camp

Day 2 - Deep into the Sierra Nevada

The second day is the longest and most demanding.Travelers hike through remote mountain landscapes, cross rivers and pass through Indigenous territories before reaching the camp near Teyuna.

Day 3 - Lost City Archaeological Site

Early morning visit to the Lost City.Travelers climb the ancient stone stairs and explore the terraces, ceremonial areas and history of the Tayrona civilization.After the visit, the group hikes back to the previous camp.

Day 4 - Return to Santa Marta

The final day includes the return hike and transport back to Santa Marta.
